Arizonians, Anna and Sandy Van Hoek have teamed up with Lawrence Schneider, President of the Affiliated American Celiac Sprue Association Foundation, a non-profit sector of CSA, to host a Celiac Disease Awareness Golf Tournament.
This tournament was founded in honor of six year old, Jaiden Grace Van Hoek who was diagnosed with Celiac Disease on December 30th, 2010. Jaiden struggled with stomach aches since she was two years old. Over the years we tried our best to manage the pain and all the other symptoms until those symptoms started to control her daily life. After seeing many doctors without any answers, we finally found the doctor who knew what to look for. Once all the lab work was complete, we found out the severity of Jaiden’s disease and the damage it had caused. Our wish is to help get the word out so other children and adults don’t have to experience this.
